ATI 7500 get lower mark after overclock?!

My PC's configuration is:
Athlon XP 1700+
Kingston 256 DDR 266 256M
Epox 8kha+ (KT266A)
ATI Radeon 7500
I get 4300 points with my ATI 7500 (270/225MHz) 3Dmark 2001 se(1024*768 32 bit FSAA no)
Is it a common level for 7500?

When I change it's core/mem to 300/300Mhz. It gets 4200 points! What happended?

Try keeping the core at stock speed and just play with the memory speeds.

Because the temperature of the chip and/or the memory goes too high. Probably, because of the memory. ATI's chips are highly overclockable.
