Question: Which phone to choose?
- LG VX7000
- Samsung SCH-A670
- Motorola V-710
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm up for my NE2 renewal and am trying to decide on the best phone. I
am considering the LG VX7000, Samsung SCH-A670, and the Motorola V-710.
I looked at the LG VX8000, but it felt too "clunky" and more like a
toy than a phone. I like the rotating cam lens on the VX7000 so you
can use the phone's front display to see what you are photoing with the
cover closed, but a cam is not a priority in my choice. My main
concern is signal strength since I live on a peninsula near a National
Guard Air Base, so coverage is low. After that, I am concerned with
clarity and volume, and finally battery life.
I am sure there are planty of people that use each of these, I would be
interested in knowing your thoughts, hearing horror stories, etc, so I
can make an informed decision.

You might want to wait a month for the 'E815' (http://tinyurl.com/4dt54)
I like the VX-6100 better than 7000. I like speaker phone and the 6100
has one and the 7000 does not. 7000 I think gets a little better
Reception, but not as good as the 8000. 6100 is smaller than 7000.
Only difference is 6100 can not do video clips only pictures.
Samsung SCH-A670 is somewhat of a comeback for Samsung for Verizon
no speaker phone. Color is 16 bit (65K). The other phones are 18-bit
color (262K). For me 16-bit screens are good enough.
If you want a small clamshell phone A670 is not to bad of a choice
If you want EV-DO for the future wait for Motorola E815 (it will take
over V710)
If you want all around phone with video clips go with 7000 no video
clips 6100 is a very good choice.
Remember this is my opinon take it with a gain of salt.
