I recently purchased a new gaming rig, have had alot of fun with it, but have noticed that it isnt living up to my expectations. Here are my system specs:

XFX ATI Radeon 6850 HD 1Gb

8gb DDR3 Ram

i5 3450 3.1ghz

I believe my motherboard is a Asrock B75 or along those lines.

Will this rig (well atleast from what I have shown) be able to run modern games on high settings?

I have i5 650 @3.2
8gm ram
and a XFX 6670 1gb

I can run BFBC2 at med at 1920 x 1080 45 to 60 FPS
Skyrim med at lower a lower resolution
MW3 & MW2 work fine.

I am thinking you should do better....

*Whoops* I did not see that you said you were having problems for some reason...
I more thought you were looking to buy some but not sure if they would work.

What games are you having trouble with?
Are all your drivers up to date?(video, audio)

What I've noticed is that jumpy frame-rates sometimes comes from directX 11/10 games (Games made for 7/vista) that are ran in directx 9 mode (XP). Using a fps limiter such as that d3d9.dll injector will stabilize the framerates. 'Tis what I use for all my games to avoid jumpy frame-rates.

What overheating issues do you have? fixing them should solve your issues.
