OK peeps i have got a intel p4 1.8a that ive overclocked to 2.4mhz the and voltage is 1.55.
Its idle running temp is 40 degrees but as soon as the cpu gets loaded it sores to 54 degrees.
Ive had no problems with stability at the moment but would it be advisable to get a better heatsink and fan to try and keep the chip cooler when is loaded?
Thanks to all that help in advance.

This is a pretty good temp for an overclocked CPU. If this is the highest temp. level, you won't expect any problems, I guess. Anyway, you may spend several bucks more for a bit better fan and/or sink.

anything under 60C if perfectly fine...as long as your system doesnt lock up or hang randomly....
