Hi hopefully someone can help me with this.

Got a dell gx280 with windows xp sp2 that will not run the print spooler. On
startup the spooler tries to run the ususal 3 times but keeps stopping
itself. I can start the spooler manually but again after a minute it recieves
a stop control and ceases to run. I have looked through previous posts and
removed all print drivers (which is a pain when you have to keep restarting
the spooler, but i managed it) Running an sc querey tells me that the exit
code was 1067 (0x42b) but I cannot find further info within the support
centre. I hear a lot of people saying that this is an sp2 problem but I have
numerous machines on site that run xp sp2 with no problem. I wnat 9if
possible) to avoid having to do a software rebuild but i have a feeling that
this may be inevitable. All printers are running over a network and no local
printers are attached.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance :)

99% of the times when a spooler stops it is caused by bad or corrupted
printer drivers.

What make and model of printer?
