Heres what I'm working with.

Epox 4g4a+ MB with intel 845g chipset
P4 1.8a with 512kb cache
256mb corsair platinum pc2700
Radeon 8500 64mb retail
Antec Truepower 430watt PS
40gb Maxtor 5400 rpm HD
Windows 98se
Philips acoustic edge

Ok, I went straight for 133 fsb wich puts my memory @ 354, wich shouldnt be a problem for the Corsair, I upped the dimm voltage to 2.6 anyhow, system would'nt boot, so I begin upping my core voltage and at 1.7 it boots but crashes randomly and will not complete 3d mark2001se. It's not a heat issue as I'm monitoring that and hav'nt gone over 52c, I feel like more voltage might get me there, but I read here somewhere that going over 1.75v burns up these cpu's and I don't want that. I have been able to get the system stable at 125fsb @1.6v getting me to 2250 and my memory is at 333. My goal for this upgrade was 2ghz, but 2.4 sounded like a sure thing. Any comments or suggestions greatly appreciated.

Hold on I may have solved it, first of all until just today the only ratio options I had were auto, 1:1 and 3:4, My board has a fsb jumper that is "default, 100, 133open" I thought default meant auto detect, but I opened the jumper and now I have a 4:3 ratio option in the bios which is 333 at 133fsb and all seems stable at 1.7v. Theres still no 4:4 though Crash.

4:4 is 1:1, different BIOS will diplay different numbers (My board includes the PCI bus ratio, so it's set to 4:4:1)

Ya, my bad, with 133fsb selected the ratios are,

4:3 = ddr200
1:1 = ddr266
4:5 = ddr333

Hey Crash, I had to go to 1.7v to get this thing stable, I don't see any heat problems (35c idle-51c under load) do you think 1.7 will hurt my cpu or is that acceptable.
