I was getting a little carried away when I said ultra, but I still want top performance. I have played the campaign on my computer before and it ran very smooth and nice on high~ultra settings. I am more of an online player so now I want to purchase the game and I know online play can be a little bit more cpu heavy.

System:
Cpu: AMD dual core 64-bit 5600+ 2.8ghz (weakest part of my computer)
Graphics: Asus EAH6670 HD 1GB DDR5 (clocked at 900mhz for core and 1150mhz for ram)
Ram: 6gb DDR2 800mhz

Resolution 1920x1080 @60hz refresh rate

I know my cpu sucks lol, but I am stuck between getting bf3 for pc or xbox. I really want it for pc, but if my performance sucks I just wasted $40 on the game

Thanks for reading this :)

your processor is about the same as the intel's E5200, so i'd probably say no you can't play on max in multiplayer on your computer. The multiplayer is much more demanding as the singleplayer campaign, because it uses much bigger terrain and maps.

Maybe not medium but somewhere between low and medium I'd guess (assuming its 1080p)

@OP Yeah even if you have the GDDR5 version with higher clocks it will still get you no where near ultra, the 6670 is a fairly low end gaming card. If you want decent fps on a single card on ultra you will need a much more powerful card. Upwards of a 6950 for HIGH.
EDIT: Not to mention you would definitely also need a CPU upgrade.
