I'm trying to find a 802.11g pcmcia wireless care that works in this
laptop. So far I've tried a Linksys and a Motorola card. Linksys support
indicated their card wasn't compatible with the TI pcmcia busmaster
controller. With it, the laptop hangs as soon as I insert the card. The
same thing happens with the Motorola card, although their tech support said
that there aren't any compatibility problems that they are aware of.

Can anyone recommend a card that will work?

Thanks.

John

I don't know 802.11g cards that well, but I have used the older Proxim 802.11b
Orinoco Gold cards in PCMCIA slots with TI busmaster controller chips.

Thanks. When I spoke with Motorola support last night (who seems more
interested in getting me off the phone than troubleshooting the
problem), they recommended Belkin cards. But said they couldn't promise
that they'd work...
