Hello, my Geforce 3 GPU cooling fan has failed. I was wondering what the best GPU cooling set would be. I was looking at the Orb's from Vantec, they seem to be pretty good. Please drop a line if you have a good suggestion for a replacement. I know visiontek has a lifetime warranty, but I would rather order an aftermarket cooler and know that it will work. Thanks for any info.

Any aftermarket cooler will work. They should be of higher quality than stock cooling. I would first try and see if you can even get the old cooler off. Usually it's superglued onto the card and it's damned near impossible to remove it. Hopefully you can.

If that's possible then I would look into Thermaltake's new VPU/GPU cooler. It's copper and it comes with ram sinks as well.

I know that not so long ago thermaltakes crystal orb chipset cooler was good for GPU's, but im not sure if it would be up to the job of cooling a GF3. They look quite funky aswell.

If all else fails, Go further :)

No, that's not what I meant. Thermaltake released a GPU-only cooler. It's not adapted or anything, it's only meant to cool GPU's. That means it doesn't take up two slots like the orb one.

Look here:

From what I read in reviews it really doesn't help with overclocking potential much more than the stock GF 4 coolers do but the main reason to buy it is that it's copper and also that it's probably going to be fairly reliable.
