volcano &+ or ragon orb 478 which is the best ?

well which one is the best for a p4 1.8a o/c to 2.7~3 GHz ,a volcano 7+ (A1254) or a dragon orb 478
(A1258) taking into account that i have msi 645 ultra ver 1 .....please help ,,, is ther a difference .. i see people r talking alot about the volcano 7+ and not a word about dragon orb 478 ....why is that ??

My question is, how high is your FSB/vcore set to?

If you want to get 2.7GHZ your FSB needs to be 150MHZ not to mention 3.0 GHZ it needs to be 166MHZ. Can your motherboard evn support this?

Have you O/Ced it yet or is this just what youre hoping to do?

I have done much testing with HS and Fan combos.. My advice is to stay away from Orb units. They look cool, but just dont work real well. I own three Volcano 7+. I have them on a 2200+, 1700+, and 1200 T-bird. None are over clocked. All the temps I'm going to give are in fahrenheit, using MBM 5, 3D Mark 2001, and fan set to Med, Full load on CPU. 2200+ case temp at 104( I question that temp, I think hot air from CPU drifting over censor) CPU 111. The 1700+ case temp is 102, CPU 107. 1200 T-Bird case temp is 102, CPU is 120. I hope this helps. Take care.
