Overkill?

I mainly want to play:
Diablo 3
Star Craft 2
League of Legends
Guild Wars 2

A few other but those are the hour stealers. I would also like those played at max settings, curious if these three would do the trick just right, or just plain over kill. New trio building going for my first.

Change to 3570k. It IS overkill. But overkill means spend now and never later GO for it. Always use the most you can. DO NOT PUSH your budget. Always no money? WAIT. Good Luck!

overkill? heresy! hehe. go with the k series if you can afford it, overclocking potential is great & motherboard will go well with it. if you are 100% sure that you don't want to overclock either now or in the future then on of the standard non-k's i5's + a cheaper H/B/Q series motherboard would probably do fine.

I'm afraid to say I'm not really sure what you all mean by the K series, still fairly new to the computer language, are you referring to the cpu?
