I keep seeing something about a pencil method to OC 1.2 GhZ Athlon Can you direct me to the article in question?

search for it on google.com your sure to find a how to. all it is, is drawing a line between the bridges that were cut, the lead is a conductor so it completes the circuit.

how do you shoot the devil in the back? what happens if you miss? -verbal

By closing the L1 bridges on a Thunderbird processor, you can adjust the multiplier. This of course assumes you have a motherboard that supports multiplier adjustment.

You can use a number 5 pencil on the Thunderbird, carefully bridging the gap on the bridges, but not cross connecting the bridges (they're really small so you need to be careful)

Don't try this pencil trick on the newer Athlon XP processors though... That requires a lot more than a pencil!

I have a 1.2Ghz Tbird & its L1 bridges came closed & so have no need for pencilling, check UR chip & see...
