I've got an HP 2807A Ultra VGA 1280 17" display. Suddenly with no warning the following has happened:

When I start the PC, the green light comes on (along with the solenoid clicking sound) at the appropriate times. Also, I hear the click when it finally switches video modes from DOS to Windows while booting Win98.

The problem is, I get no picture. I've tried the monitor on a few different PC's, same symptoms. Also, I've tried diffferent monitors on the original PC, they work. The monitor setup screens work fine (horizontal adjustment, etc. etc).

Anyone ever hear of this particular symptom, and is it at all serviceable?
