Thermaltake Fans

Ive heard that the <A HREF="http://www.thermaltake.com/products/orbMenu.htm" target="_new">Thermaltake Orbs</A> are crap, and that the best cooling thingy out there is the Alpha 8045... what are your views? Im looking at a Athlon 2100+ or 2200+. Also, whats the differnece between a heatsink and fan?

A heatsink is a big slab of metal that draws heat away from your cpu core.

A fan is... a fan. You know, one of those things that spins round.


These days every cpu will need a heatsink with a fan mounted ontop of it to keep it cool.

Alot of the articles in this forum mention very good fans for keeping your cpu cool.
