How will this rig do?

i would change the cpu for an i5-2500k/3570k if you're an overclocker if not go for the non-k versions

mayby 8gb of RAM

if you're going for an i5 also buy a z77 motherboard

you also need a decent PSU i recommend 500W/600W

yeah im planning on upgrading, just took the computer out of the garage and gonna replace its current 9400 gt with 660 ti, then as i get money upgrade the cpu mobo and ram

i don't know if the cpu is now a bottleneck but the card should easely play the bf3 and skyrim on the highest settings i think

q9550 can last you another 1-2 years before it starts to be the bottleneck for the card. Honestly if you upgrade to i5-3450, you're gaining like 10-15% performance at most. In games like BF3 where cpu isn't that important the fps difference will be minimal
