My issue is a little hard to pin down, exactly, but it is basically a stutter issue during the cut scenes of pretty much any game I try to play. Sometimes (painfully rarely) it doesn't happen at all, sometimes it happens right off the bat, sometimes it can make it halfway through the scene before it starts. From what I can tell, it is completely random. I'd have thought it was lag, except that the actual gameplay runs smoothly, barring the occasional hiccup. The one exception, for whatever reason, would be the Witcher 2, which ran the opening cutscene perfectly fine consistently, before doing the stutter in every other scene.
Games I've played and noticed the stuttering in so far: Borderlands 2 (opening scene and every character intro scene), XCom Enemy Unknown (opening scene and every dialogue scene, except when in actual gameplay/pre-mission launch), Crysis 2 (every mission explanation between chapters) Guild Wars 2 and League of Legends (both weird, since they don't really have cutscenes, but they do the same stutter every few seconds in-game) and Civ 5 (opening scene).
My laptop and its specs:
Toshiba Qosmio X775
Windows 7 Premium 64bit
Intel i7-2670QM @2.20GHz
Nvidia Geforce GTX 560M
One last thing of note... I have a buddy who has a laptop that is completely identical to mine in every way, except for his lacking a 3D monitor. His laptop doesn't have any of the same issues mine does. Feel free to let me know if I missed including something, considering I already feel like I've written a book, here. D:
