So I built a budget rig for gaming about 3 weeks ago. I am happy with it, for the most part. But I'm starting to question myself. Would I see better FPS if I had decided on the AMD Phenom 2 x4 965 BE and OC'ed it instead of my current i3-2100?

The rest of my setup is in my sig. I run my Radeon 6850 OC'ed constantly.

Games I play: (gameplay resolution is 1920x1080 on a Samsung 24" LED) COD: MW3, COD: Black Ops, Skyrim, World of Warcraft, Mass Effect 3, Diablo 3 & soon to be COD: Black Ops 2.

So again, the main question is: Would an OC'ed 965 BE have been a better choice for me?

Thanks for the replies, I'm looking at upgrading my Mobo & CPU here within the next month or two to a an i5-3570K, Z75 Mobo and then within the next 6 months to a Radeon 7970.

All of AMD's newest offerings (I'm looking at you FX & Trinity) have left me with a bad taste in my mouth from the reviews. Seeing as how I only game on this PC (sold my Xbox 360 to help fund the build) I was thinking 1155 would keep me going longer than FM1 or AM3+.

Appreciate it guys, I was starting to get a little hint of buyers remorse.

Edit: I think the buyers remorse stems from the fact that I can't OC my CPU. I feel inferior lol. So I'm rectifying that by quickly upgrading to the i5-3570K.
