OK so I'm no expert but..., after some research and some recomendations I invested in a new case. I had a generic case and psu which I bought for £40. Today I bought a Lian - Li - pc 60 usb with 2 fans in & 2 fans out for £130. I didn't realise what effect the old case & psu had on my overclocking potential. Before my power was dodgey although it was 300 watt( same as the PSU that comes with the Lian Li) , now my PC is more stable than it has ever was. That and the CPU temp has gone down 5 degrees.

OK I have read the posts about CHECK YOUR PSU, but its not until you do it that you realise how crud your setup was before.

You have to pay for quality don't you?

F.Y.I. my system is a GF4 TI 4400 XP1800..... standard this that and the other.

43 degrees under load. 5 degrees better just because of the case and PSU!!!

Can't wait to see what I get with a decent heatsink & Fan!

Agree with u m8.
The standard cases are normally smaller and have no fans.
Bigger cases with fans = much better airflow/cooling i think all cases with eventually go this way.
Get some rounded IDE cables and that should improve airflow even more.

Hi, recently i chnage a Lian-Li case also, self-make rounded IDE cable and all the wiring inside case also fix plus I add another Zalman FB123 fan, but doing after all, the temp for my CPU and MOBO still thr same at 57C idle and 62 load.

My CPU is AXP2100+ and Asus A7V333 MOBO.

Why is like that?

victor

System temp 57C idle and 62C load
Sorry, I don´t understand, that temp I think is for the CPU, but what is the SYSTEM (motherboard or case inside) temp?

Also I suggest you to measure the temps with a program like motherboard monitor 5.
