Ok now i have 1900+ at 10x177fsb, with 2-2-5-2T
on Soltek KT333 Mobo which is drv5.
But soon dunno how soon, i'm planning to buy 2600 or 2700 or wait till Barton's 3000+.
SO the dilemma is ...
my max multiplyer is 12.5
max i can do is 177 FSB smthn is holdin me back it just hangs the Winxp i think it's memory, it also hangs on sandra benchies ( kingston 512 megs 2700 )
so the maximum i can push with 177 is 2210 mhz from CPU.
so should i buy 2600+ and unlock it and O/C it to this 2210 mhz so it's 44 mhz fsb increase or buy 2700+ put multiplyer on automatic so it'll detect it and just increase it's fsb by 11 mhz which is possible with locked XPs
or wait for Bartons and if they'll work on my mobo do the same thing i'd do with 2700+ ?

Which method will gimme more performance.
increasing 44 mhz fsb on 2600+ and decreasing multi to 12.5

increasing 11 mhz fsb on locked 2700+
or same thing with Bartons 3000+ if it'll work on my mobo

Thanks in advance

Well if I read that right, I'd say, in general, you will always see a bigger increase if you up the FSB. But since you are going to use the same FSB with both CPU's you shouldn't see any increase in performance with either. Your not talking leaps and bounds, so you won't see it with your eyes, ears, or nose. Pick the Cheaper CPU and put it at the 2.2 you said your mobo and ram will take.

Cheaper is better, in this case. 2.2 Ghz with a 177mhz FSB no matter how you look at it. Hope that made sense.
