There was some discussion recently about whether being dispelled by
a mob always removes your "top" buffs (i.e., the ones listed first
in your buff window). The original thread was a derail in the topic
"An unbiassed look at the Cleric OoW spells ". General opinion
seemed to be that maybe it used to work that way, but some people
thought they'd recently seen other buff slots being dispelled.
Well, I was hunting sirens last night, so I got dispelled several
times. The first time, it did indeed hit my first few slots. But
on a later battle, I noticed it hit my 4th and 5th. I'm sure the
slots were dispelled (not expired) because I'd just recast those
buffs before that battle. (One of them was Everlasting Breath, not
something you want to see go away when fighting sirens. :-)
My top five slots, in order, were:
- Resist Magic
- Skin Like Nature
- Form of the Great Wolf
- Levitation
- Everlasting Breath
From my logs, it looks like both Lev and EB got dispelled by a
single dispel.
Also, in an earlier battle dispels had removed both SLN and FotGW,
in separate dispels, so it's not as though the siren dispel was
"too weak" to remove those and thus had skipped them to remove
later buffs. (As an aside, losing wolf form (and thus sow) in the
middle of a battle is almost as annoying as losing EB. Maybe I'll
rethink the merits of a druid buying Run3. :-)
Another aside, apropos the current necro side thread of using mounts
to get mana regen while pet-tanking: I may revisit getting my druid
a mount as well, because I assume it would let me get mana regen
while root-rotting casters. (Currently I have to run out of their
range to med, and finding my way back underwater can sometimes be
awkward.)

RS3 is good for any class.

A lot of people I know hunt the sirens that are in Cobalt Scar, which
would qualify as an outdoor zone. Or he could have been casting SoW
before entering SG.

I was thinking in terms of usefulness of a mount, but yeah, your right
he could have been in Cobalt scar.

Yes, it would allow you to get the meditation bonus while being cast
upon, or even being smacked around. So long as you do not attack or
move, you get the meditation bonus. Mounts do poof when you go into
water however.

Yes. Although with clicky instant SoW from doing my epic 1.0, not as
important to me.

I expect the sirens were in Cobalt Scar...

Fighting in Ssra, Comm 1. Went in fully buffed with two slots free for npc
dots. First combat had an Arcanist dispell me and took out 5th buff slot
only, which happened to be my Conviction . . . . Rebuffed with own
Natureskin ( yeah, no where near as good, but as a ranger best I had ) then
went on to next snake which happened to be a Warlock. They also dispelled me
and I lost my 12th slot buff, Clairvoyance. So, considering all my buffs had
been refreshed and were in order of casting or receipt, there appeared to be
no order of dispell. Fighting the named Dragons in WW, sure enough, they
followed the dispell order of top to bottom, so was using a clicky effect of
from the Telescopic Eyepatch as the Shrunken Goblin Skull wont stack with
ranger attack buffs to save further dispells.
In all, not particularly helpful in answering original question, but best
thing to do is carry a clicky or two just to even up the odds of not loosing
the buffs you really need to keep ^shrug^
