I hv a Intel i3 processor with 23' lcd monitor. I was thinking that this is very fast processor than others but i think i was wrong. To open an image takes long time not instantly. Is there any problem with my processor ?

The i3 isn't the fastest processor around, but its perfectly adequate for a lot of tasks.

Use Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and watch the "Performance" tab while you open your image. If the CPU graph goes to 100% while the image is opening then your CPU is probably the bottleneck - if not, then the bottleneck may be the disk drive.
