I have just followed the unlocking tutorial at Toms Hardware for my xp1800 and changed the clock multiplier so the processor reads xp2000+ when posting in the bios.

HOWEVER, when I run a benchmark in Sisoft2002 Pro it only reads at 1266? After resetting the values to auto in the bios it then shows as the original 1533mhz 1800+ and Sisoft also recognises the processor as the original 1800+ .

Does anyone know if the processor is overclocked ok? My friend and I were wondering if it was Windows XP or if the chip isnt overclosked properly. Does windows xp need to be reinstalled? Also would the computer post if the chip was overcloked incorrectly?

We cant see anything wrong with the bridges, they are all closed and conducted?

Hope someone can offer us some advice.

Thanks,

Do all your other benchmarking programs say that or is it just sisoft? What does it say in the windows system(start>settings>control panel>systems)box?

It was the BIOS, I couldnt d/l the latest from the Asus site as it was down, I have installed 1014 now (A7V333) and have successfully set the multiplier to 12.5 FSB133 and VC 18.5v, its now running at 1.67 instead of 1.53 which is faster than the 2000+.

Thanks for the reply,
