Is it just me?
I'm seeing automatically inserted links all over the place. Is my browser doing this? They look like yellow underline graphics under certain words (like debt, love relationship...) and when you put your cursor over them they are hilighted in yellow.

I currently use IE 6.0

I don't like it...can I get it to stop?

I'll bet you have Kazaa, don't you?

You may find this article applicable to your problem...here's an exerpt:

"If you have a popular file-sharing program called KaZaA on your computer and suddenly start seeing yellow links to obvious ads on some of your favorite Web sites, this is because a cunning piece of software called TopText was automatically installed on your computer along with KaZaA. Many Web site owners are upset with this alteration of their content. But there is an opt-out procedure (albeit a somewhat cumbersome one) you can use to keep TopText links from being added to your site, according to the company that markets TopText. "

The rest of the article his here: Kazaa Spyware Issues

Might I suggest you uninstall Kazaa and use Kazaalite instead? KazaaLite is Kazaa without the Spyware.

Remove KaZaA and download the suggested KaZaA Lite... then download Ad-Aware 6 or Spybot S&D and clean your PC from all remaining spy and adware.

No Kazaa on this pc. EDonkey though...and I imagine that it's the same deal.

I have an older version of kazaa on other pc, and I've not noticed the same problem...

That's so crappy that they do that...I just hate that.
Thanks ever so much Twitch...much obliged.

I just went to control panel and removed the program...but [-peep-]...that's really subversive! When you're downloading programs...don't they always ask whether you want software X or not??

Unbelievable.

Yeah...I loathe spyware with a passion. Any time your computer starts doing something on its own that it wasn't doing before, assume something is altering things...and P2P apps are often the culprits...

Well sometimes you can disable the extra spyware installs. A lot of populair 'free' software comes with some sort of spyware... lucky there are alternatives for those programs, like eMule instead of eDonkey http://www.emule-project.net.
