Jakobs often manufactures weapon with high damage, most notably snipers and old-time Western revolvers. They tend to have a higher recoil rate than most other manufacturers, but they almost always fire as fast as you can pull the trigger. You can either unload a clip in a second, or focus your fire on critical spots for massive damage.

Er... thanks for that copy/paste but players know what the manufacturers are good for. If Jakobs is your favourite, just vote it :)

I'm a bit surprised this poll isn't pulling in more votes to be honest... that said, it is a new game so maybe people just aren't voting because they haven't yet played it (or at least not played far enough to develop a preference). It's hopefully only people who have played who are voting!

It's a cool feature and awesome effective reload speed, but doesn't that mean all the other rounds in the magazine are lost when you reload?

Also, if Tediore is your favourite, vote it! :p Tediore has zero votes so far but it's at least one person's favourite...

All weapons actually! There are no non-elemental Maliwan guns. By the way, the poll is set up so you can choose two if you have a couple tied for favourite.

Well Maliwan were all about elemental damage in Borderlands 1 and they're the only weapons manufacturer that hasn't really changed at all in Borderlands 2. Their 'submalevolent grace' SMGs are pretty cool in the early stages, but then SMGs start to fall behind a bit in general as the other gun categories pull ahead. Hyperion and Dahl become more awesome when you get into the game a bit, and Vladof and Jakobs are awesome right through ;-)
