Computer Temps....

In general (over clocking or not) what is a good temperature to have your computer running at? Currently mine is around 84-90 degrees all the time. That seems a bit high? Im running a p4 2.26 on an Intel 845gbv. Iv also got a Gainward ti4200 128mb video card in there. Thanks for the input in advance!

Search the boards for this. And ya if that is the correct temp thats pretty warm. Can't say for sure all mine are AMD.

is that degrees Celcius caus then u r in trouble the CPU has a danger level at 80 dergrees Celcius MAX

Remember the time You used 20Mb harddrives

you must be talking in degrees Farenheit, those temps are fine in celcius/centigrade
if you're talking *C then you're in trouble, your heatsink must not be seated right, i don't think ANYTHING cools THAT poorly

deBoor I think it must have been Celcius you were referring to cause we havn't heard back from you. Just in case tho; my wife's machine is same as yours with Retail box CPU & F/HS and at room temp apprx 68-72F she runs 31c idle and 48c playing Morrowind. (Heavy cpu & gui load)
