How to Print Offline

Last response: in Windows XP

I have just/finally upgraded from Win98se to WinXPpro and it would appear
that a very useful feature of the printing system is missing. I used to be
able to set a printer (local and network) to "work offline" so that I could
queue up a load of print jobs and release them later on. However, I can't
find how to do this under XP or whether it is even possible, can anyone help?

Start>Control Panel>Printers and Faxes>
rightclick your printer and click "Print online" and
it will switch automatically to Print offline.

In my case, the wording is "Use Printer Offline" or "Use Printer
Online" to toggle between the two. The printer icon is grayed out
when it is offline.
