Just tried to install Max Payne 3 on my newish PC, installed discs 1 and 2 but when asked for disc 3 the DVD drive can't read it.

Had the same problem with Assassins Creed Revelations install disc. Had to download it from Uplay :-(
It worked on my old PC.
Tried updating driver in device manager but windows says its up to date.

The disc drive is an LG MODISC Super Multi.

Anyone any ideas?

Hi :)

Got to be a faulty disc then....return it for another...Securom only matters if its a copy disc...

Yeah i will put that down as a possibility but my only concern is that I did install it on my old PC a few months ago and it installed fine. Since i built this new one with a new disc drive i've had this problem with two or three games. Yet the drive seems to work fine in all other cases. I've burnt discs, installed other software successfully etc.

Cheers
