I know this is a printing forum but I didn't find any place else to put this
post.....
I'm running XP Home and I'm trying to install the XP's fax software.
I recently formatted the hard drive and I'm reinstalling everything.
I got the message to install the XP disk but then it said it couldn't copy
files.
I copied the i386 directory to my hard drive and tried again. This time the
install completed BUT the fax folder on the start menu is empty???
I've retried several times since, each time it completes but the fax folder
is empty when you check.
XP does not recognize the install either since each time I got back to
add/remove the check mark on the fax is gone.
