Thanks for the info, however what I did do was a clean uninstall of all printers following the adivce of Bruce Sanderson's website, and then reinstalled only the Lexmark, however this did not help.
Maybe I have a corrupted profile or something, as it seemed strange that it worked for a while and then stopped.
BTW, I tried another thing (just to log it here in case someone else has the same problem). I hooked the lexmark up to my laptop via USB, and it printed well. I then made it available over the network and it produced the same screen effect on the laptop this time.
