All the things i have done so far to try fix this,
- i brought the laptop to a computer shop to clean the fan to prevent overheating
- bought an external fan
- reformatted the laptop
- updated all drivers ( including graphic cards ) in Device manager.
even though i have cleaned out the fan and have an external fan could that still cause overheating on the laptop? :\
its barely a year old.
also every morning when i start up my computer it causes my internet network to fail on all other computer for a good 10-15 mins , is this also caused by overheating?
thanks in advance.

Use GPU-Z to monitor temperatures / clocks of your GPU while gaming. This will answer your question about overheating and low performance in games. Look for temps reaching too high and clocks lowering themselves as the temperature rises.
As for the network connectivity problems, I believe that this is your access point which is at fault.

According to GPU Z , i have two cards , first my NVIDIA GeForce GT 540m, i can see the clocks go down even tho its only by about 5, and the GPU temp is about 72C - 75C , while the other card Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000, clock does not go down at all but the GPU Temprature is constant at around 84C - 87C, i have never done an overclock on my computer before but the temp is already pretty high so im assuming its due to overheating? is there anyway i can fix this?
and to the network problem, what do you mean by access point? because when i use the internet on any of my other computers it works perfectly fine, and when i log in this Asus n43sl , the internet starts lagging and get constantly cut and comes back and cuts etc for about 15-20 mins ish.

customize your game's graphics settings and optimize Windows so that you consistently get higher FPS Or
if your system just isn't up to the task; you need to upgrade your hardware. For graphics lag, the most important update is a new and more powerful graphics card. Check the performance charts in the Optimal Playable Settings and Game Guides links above to get an indication of what type of card will give you the FPS you're after at particular settings in different games.

^good luck with that in a laptop...
What about GPU load for both intel HD and 540m while gaming? This will show you which one is being used.
To force the 540m to be used go to Nvidia Control panel, Manage 3D Settings tab and set the specified game to use dedicated card instead of onboard one.
Also make sure that windows power plan is set to max. performance when laptop is connected to the wall socket.

You can't upgrade a laptop's graphics. Only way to get better graphics on a laptop is to buy a new one altogether. There are some exceptions to this if you get a really high end gaming laptop, but you don't have one of those. This is one reason why laptop gaming is generally not recommended unless you have lots of money to spend on a really high end gaming laptop, and those typically go for $1500 and up.

i'm sorry but can you tell me how to check the CPU clock? i have no idea being a computer newbie :x
additionally from GPU-Z i have more information from not running games :
> Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 :
GPU Temp - 82C - 83C
GPU Load - 4%
GPU Power - 0.2W
Memory Usage ( Dedicated ) - 9 MB
Memory Usage ( Dynamic ) - 203 MB
> NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M :
GPU Temp - 70C
GPU Load - 95-96%
Momory Controller Load - 4%
Memory Usage ( Dedicated ) - 19 MB
Memory Usage ( Dynamic ) - 12 MB
Video Engine Load - 0%
VDDC - 0.9800 V
i was wondering is it normal for it to be this hot even though i'm not running a game or is there something horribly wrong with my computer.
Thanks for the time guys.

You might have malware. You should scan the PC with some kind of antivirus. Or at least show us the processes tab of Task Manager.
Also, check CPU tempertures with HWMonitor (you can download it from http://cpuid.com).

Yes, what Sunius said is true.
It looks like something is constantly using your graphics card. Maybe you have installed something like folding @ home that runs in the background?
Check task manager / processes to find a process that is using the most CPU time.
Paste a screenshot of task manager / processes tab.
Additionally press start and enter cmd in search programs and files, press enter. Type tasklist and press enter. Right click and choose mark, select whole command output and paste it here.

That's not the end of the story.
poclbm.exe is a program used to 'mine' bitcoins using your gpu. Read more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitcoin . So unless you installed it consciously, you got infected by some malware and your pc was mining bitcoins for someone else.
Killing this executable is only a temporary solution. This program will run itself after next pc restart. I recommend you to run two scans:
1. TDSSkiller http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208283363 There is a download link in the article. Run it and see what it finds. For suspicious threaths choose skip, cure confirmed threats only.
2. Spybot - Search & Destroy http://www.safer-networking.org/dl/ download the free version. Run it and select check for problems. After some issues are found, fix only those you are sure about.
Remeber you are looking for something connected with bitcoin.
If you will have some doubts what to clean, ask here.

No, your pc was infected with malware that produces virtual money (bitcoins) for someone else.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitcoin#Botnet_mining
Your real money (on bank accounts) is safe.
You can fix all entries you pasted, but none of those entries is what we are looking for. Spybot scan should take longer, make sure that you agreed to scan after restart. This will take couple of hours to finish.
Have you run TDSSkiller? What was the result?

Results from TDSSkiller are ok, don't delete them.
Just in case you can let poclbm.exe run during the scans, but I don't think it's necessary.
Most common bitcoin GPU botnet is trojan.badminer. There is a free tool from symantec that can detect it - Norton Power Eraser:
http://security.symantec.com/nbrt/npe.aspx?lcid=1033
Give it a shot before running spybot lenghty scan. Again make sure not to delete anything you are not sure about.
