Some processes in task manager show " * " at the end

Ever since i downloaded a so called keygen (didnt actually open)
my laptop has been behaving a little strange, i ran an anti virus scan and an anti malware, removed a few infected files. Since then ive noticed some processes in task manager have an asterisk * at the end. Is this normal ?

Was the * visible before this? It could simple mean that they are 32 bit processes.

im not sure, happens on any web browser i open, not sure what else. Also sometimes when i try to open a browser, it goes as if its going to open then doesnt, then when i look at the process's there is one for each of the times i have tried to open the browser, all with a * and i need to end all the processes then it will open.

In Task Manager, can you expand the columns so you see the whole name of the processes, and see if there is anything more than just the *?

Yeaa, just looked and they have 32 on the end, guessing this means its a 32 bit process yea ?

Yes, that simple means that the processes are running with 32 bit code on your 64 bit OS and CPU. There is nothing strange with it.
