I have installed directx 9 still it cant run cod2

I had bought Call of Duty 2 many months ago............I installed it completing all the steps.
But when i had launched it said, you have unrecoverable problem for direct x.
I also checked after that if have direct x or not but i have direct x 9 still says the same.

Please please please help me am really tired with his message...

run the dx installer that comes on the disk. if your using win 7 make sure your running the installer as administrator.
