Applications randomly closing?

Konichiwa! (I'm not really Japanese.)

Anyways, when I use more than 1 GB of RAM while playing minecraft, sooner or later, it will randomly close. I have 2 GB of RAM, I am suspecting that it will automatically close if it uses more than 1 GB of RAM to allocate it to other programs.

Are you running Windows Vista or Windows 7? If so, go drop $40 and get 4GB of RAM. Assuming that you are not running a laptop, it's stupid easy to replace and relatively inexpensive. Just run something like Everest, find your RAM type (DDR, DDR2, DDR3), buy it online, read up on basic anti-static procedures, install RAM.
