Well I just got done overclocking my Athlon XP 2100+ and I am not entirely sure that I got the numbers right. First of all I can not figure out what MHZ the 2100 is actually supposed to run at so if any of you know that would be a help to me. Second here are the settings I used too get it to run at two actual GHZ frequency multiplier 15.0, CPU external frequency 133/33, memory frequency 333, CPU core voltage 1.850. Ok I am not entirely sure if that would be the correct CPU vcore and if not what should it be. My second question is, are those settings to aggressive or not aggressive enough, at the moment I have a stock fan and heat sink. Third if I were to get a water cooling system what could I pump this thing up to? After reading the thread below me I seem to think I am being way to conservative. Here are my system specs
Asus A7V8X it supports ddr 400 but i have 333
A winfast A280 AGP 8X Geforce 4 ti 4200 128 mb ddr ram
A WD 80 gig 7200rpm ata 100 HD
Windows xp home
1024mb c2 2700 ddr ram
and like i said before a athlon xp 2100+
the modem cds and sound card dont realy matter

The XP2100 runs at 1733Mhz (13x133).

How far you can overclock depends alot on:
A. cooling
B. speed of cpu to begin with
C. core stepping code

Being very general here good overclocking XP2100's with good cooling can get up to 1900 to 2000Mhz. Maybe more with water cooling.
Not terribly much really. Far better results are usually obtained for XP1600+'s.

The default VCore voltage is 1.75V... but when you OC you often need to increase it too 1.8-1.85V.
If you got it to 15*133 it should run at 1995MHz.

My PC eats so much money that I'm in 'desperate' need of it to buy PC3500 RAM, help Svol with his OC project!
