asus Nforce2 board and 2800+..which HSF?

i been reading about certain HSF can't mount on Certain MOBO's and what not.. Just wanna make sure i don't F*ck up.

for people with this mobo/cpu combo and DON"T WANNA OC what is a good choice...
Sound is also a factor, don't want this thing to sound like a jet or anything...

Well the stock heatsink isnt too bad, It isnt the quietest around, but the noise is far lower than many other heatsink solutions for sale.

It does the job, minimum of fuss.

Should you be looking for quieter cooling, then something like the Volcano9 may be the go, a big 80mm temp controlled fan for quieter operation.
There are even better solutions around like the volcano7+, sk800 or the MCX-462, but if you arnt overclocking they are just expensive overkill.

woowoo wait a second... how did you get the stock fan? i don't see the xp280+ being sold retail yet... im only seeing the CPU itself for sale?

I believe its the same stock cooler for the XP2600 and 2700.
Copper inserted base talsoi 3 clip cooler thinggy.

Yeah i just need something Quiet, but that will do the job.. No OC like i said.. so i don't wanna buy a really expensive cooler if i won't need it.
