Hi.

Just wondering which "quiet" cooler to get. I'm looking at a <A HREF="http://www.zalman.co.kr/english/product/cnps6000Cu.htm" target="_new">Zalman 6000Cu</A>, or a Molex aka <A HREF="http://www.quietpc.com/nz/cpucooling.php#amdrf" target="_new">QuietPC Large Radial-Fin</A>. It's going on a non-overclocked Athlon XP1600.

Anyone got experience with either (or both) of these?

I would definitely go with the Zalman, as the temperatures you'll get with it as well as the noise is a lot lower than that of the Molex brand HSF. Just make sure that the Zalman can fit on your board because its bigger than regular HSFs

Staggering out of the shower this morning, I hear the hair-dryer. "Whose awake?" I think... Till I realize its my computer - talk about a windtunnel

I have to agree with error_911. I'm using the Zalman on a Athlon XP 2100+ and it works great. Nice an quiet when the fanmate is cranked down. What's nice is the 92mm fan also adds airflow over the chipset on my ASUS A7V333 mobo.

And you can add an extra fan on the bracket and stick it over your video card :)
