Hi,

I really hate to appear dumber than I am with this, but I have been going
around the circle with this for
well over an hour by now. Pretty good with differential equations, but this
is truly beyond me.

New cel phone user
Have a new Samsung a650 via Verizon.

Have a bunch of numbers entered, and the phone's logic has assigned
numerical memory
location numbers for them: 1 for voice mail, and then the ones I entered,
sequentially.

If I want to assign a speed-dial number to one of the numbers on the list,
how do I do
this without reordering the whole list. ?

e.g. I would like to assign speed dial number 2 for a phone number that
currently
resides in location 8.

I can pull up under location 8 the highlighted speed-dial line, but all I
can get is the
little icon next to it; it doesn't seem to allow me to enter any number like
2 for the speed dialing.
Trying Edit option doesn't seem to do it either.

If someone could tell me in great detail, the Exact steps to follow, I would
be most appreciative.

Thanks,
Bob

I have the same phone. Try this. Hit <Contact> Select the name. Hit
<Okay>. Select Location . Hit <Edit> and then put in the speed dial number
location you want. The speed dial option chooses which number of the saved
numbers for each person. So you can choose to speed dial a persons cell
phone as opposed to their home phone. Hope this helps . Richard
