Old Kid\'s Computer Game from the 90\'s

I played a game in school on the computer in 1st and 2nd grade that I cannot for the life of me remember the name of. You start the game off by leaving an island with a group of customizable little blue people and you have to get them to a promise land by choosing your path and stopping ocassionally to play a problem solving game, if you are not able to solve the problems right away, the game eventually starts to pick people off of your group until you are left with nobody. YOu would then have to start over at the dark island with a new group of little monsters. THe games varied in fifficulty and they were all different, the one I can remember the best is one in which you have to make a Pizza the correct way. Help me out here please haha.
