no that's wrong.

the demo on PS3 was done in REAL-TIME. it was not a FMV on PS3. the
original PS1 version was FMV.

and what PS3 did could not have been done REAL-TIME on PS2. because this
was done in real-time on PS3, it DOES show some of PS3's graphical
capabilities.

I agree that pre-rendered CG / FMV does not show the graphics capabilities
of a machine. that is the case with PS1's FMV or PS2's FMV. or any FMV
that we see on PS3. however, what the PS3 demo showed was realtime
capability.
