my cpu p4 2.40B
my motherboard gigabyte ga-8ihxp
Memory: 256*2 (rambus 1066mhz)
i have manage to overclock this cpu to 2.6ghz but when i go higher windows XP cant shows my SOUNDSYSTEM ETC...
i wounder how much higher can i go? and what settings should i change? i have changed the FSB or what it is called. but nothing more, any advice from you expert? :-)

It could be that your soundcard can't handle the higher PCI bus speed (the PCI bus is divided from the FSB: 1/3 of a 100MHz FSB orhigher, 1/4 of a 133MHz FSB or higher). Maybe your board allows you to lock the PCI/AGP speeds, otherwise increasing the I/O Voltage (also called PCI Voltage) might help.

My dual-PSU PC is so powerfull that the neighbourhood dimms when I turn it on :eek:
