I was wondering. I just bought a new mobo and athlon xp 1600+, and I set its frequency in the bios to 100mhz. And set memory to 133mhz. I just read on a guide here that all xp+ processors run at a x of 133mhz. So, my question is this. If I went to the bios and changed the cpu frequency to 133mhz. would I get a gain in performance, or is all its doin now is displaying the wrong speed of the cpu, and still giving me its full performance.

Thanks for any info.

if it says 100 it is running at 100 i.e. not full speed.change it to 133- you may need to change a jumper on your mobo also depending which one you have

no matter how hard you try, you can't polish a turd. :]

you will notice a BIG difference after you switch it up to the 133 FSB, highly recommended.
