Wonder if anyone can help as have never overclocked before.

System Specs:

MSI 645 Ultra DDR 333 Motherboard
Pentium P4 1.8ghz CPU (478 socket Willamette)
512mb PC2100 DDR Crucial Ram - 1 stick
Geforce3 Titanium 500 Graphics Card
60BG IBM Deskstar 7200 rpm HDD
Usual CD/Writer/DVD units
Windows XP Pro O/S

FSB currently running at 4 x 100 =402 mhz

Is it possible to squeeze any more performance out of it, if so how much as do not want to damage.

Would be very grateful for any help/advice on this matter.

cheers

Go to www.overclockers.com and look in there CPU database for your cpu, i think with a "willy" you will get about 2.2 or so...

Let's see, 500 posts a day, each day, for 30 days, and I will have more posts than Crashman!

Ok checked database and tried advice by increasing FSB to 115mhz.

I suggest just slowly bumping up the clock/multiplier until the temp gets too high or your system becomes unstable. Refer to the database for voltage info in relation to your clock/mult

It's all good ^_^

What kind of heatsink fan unit are you using? If it's the stock intel unit, you'll need something better to maintain higher speeds from overclocking.

Slowly increase the FSB speed and if the CPU doesn't run stable on higher speed slightly increase the VCore if possible. Always watch your temps.

My dual-PSU PC is so powerfull that the neighbourhood dimms when I turn it on
