Shaquille O'Neal was heading towards a new contract. Lakers management
didn't want to give Shaq a new contract though he clearly had earned one.
The Lakers couldn't just dump O'Neal or the fans would turn on the team for
trading away the man responsible for bringing the team 3 championships. The
Lakers needed away to get the fans to turn on Shaq.

Phil Jackson conspired with the Lakers to get the fans to turn on Shaq. By
not renewing Shaq they knew that Shaq would demand a trade, which he did.
Shaq, unlike Phil, is honest and loyal. Phil was promised the pay day of $10
million plus a year if he left the team for a year. Phil Jackson's
girlfriend, the daughter of the team's owner, made sure this all happened.

The plan worked like a charm, the fans in LA have turned on Shaq, Phil has
his big pay day and the lakers fans have turned into Shaq haters and Kobe
apologists. No wonder Shaq calls the people in LA fake; he knows first hand
just how fake they are.

Why don't you stick to your looney type political posts?
Clearly the Lakers and the Basketball are beyond your understanding.

Phil is responsible for the championships.

How many did Shaq win before Phil came along?

Buss: "My mail runs about 5-1 on Kobe to Shaq."

That was more than a year ago.

Right. And then Phil completely trashed Kobe in his book so as to throw
people off the scent... Good call...

Since they're making changes in the staph, er, staff.....As a
Philadelphian and hardcore Sixers fan, may I trade Stephen A Smith to
the Lakers to serve as Super Kobe Apologist When Head Is Removed From
Larry Brown's Ass? I'll gladly take a Columnist To Be Named Later.

Can you believe it, SAS (who obviously got his initials transposed) has
yet ANOTHER Valentine to Brown in today's Phila Inquirer??!!?? It even
includes the line "You've got to love Larry Brown." Apparently Smith
finds some sort of charm in Brown's constantly reneging on his
commitment to programs and blatantly contradicting his rote "I wouldn't
want to be anywhere but here" BS speech.
