That is the board i have with a Gigabyte GA-SINXK1394 board anda 3.06HT with 1 gig of 2700 DCDDR....

My FSB is 145, and stable.

I see alot of ppl talkin bout different kinds of ram on there R8500's, and mine will only go stable to 295/295 with powerstrip... can i mess with the voltages on teh card to help?

should i try putting the GPU higher independantly from teh mem? which is better in the long run higher GPU ro MEM?

look at thge string i posted there a link there to the serial numbers on samsung website and then compare to the ones that are mentioned on your mem chips then you'll know what the max is

install better cooling might stretch it abit more, i believe if its a BBA, then it should come with 3.8ns memory. i can however push my 4.0ns to 300mhz

If it's BBA it'll either be 3.6ns(277.8MHz rated) or 3.3ns(more likely as you stated it was a 64MB = 303.03MHz rated). The pencil trick might work but highly doubtful. More cooling might also help (better GPU cooler and Ramsinks). Fyi my BBA8500LE 128 with 3.6ns BGA will not go past 297/297 no matter how high the voltage or how large the house fan blowing in my open case side LOL. Some people have taken this card to 325/325 and some can't get past our point. Might just be the card.

Strange, I thought the retail cards did better than that.

Take a look at the memory chips. The last number has something like -4, or -36, or -33 respresenting 4 ns, 3.6 ns, 3.3 ns memory, respectively. The faster the better for overclocking but there are no guarantees.

My OEM 8500 64MB has 3.3 ns Hynix memory and is stable at 285 core/300 memory with no mods.

With the addition of a case cooling fan propped up to blow air both above and below the card it runs 300/325 for a few hours (my limit not the card's).

If I leave the case open it will even run at 308/340 but it's not stable. Sometimes it will run for two hours. Sometimes only 10 minutes.

However, I'll bet your system outperforms my Tbred @2.1 Ghz with SDRAM by a long shot. I only score about 9070 in 3DMark2001.
