If it's the original there's shouldn't be a problem... Why is the Application Version: 0.0.0.0? That doesn't seem right... Take it back to them, with the bill and ask them to replace it. I don't think it's a PC issue at all.

try running it as admin if that doesnt work try the widescreen patch...

c0000005 normally means out of range memory call. basically the program has tried to use an address that isnt available to the cpu.

it can be cause by a few things. bad memory. antivirus blocking it(if i remeber correctly this game did have issues with some antivirus programs, try diabling it then running the game) incompatible program (try compatibility moder such as xp mode) or a bad install (did you install the game with admin privs?) and lastly incompatible gfx (make sure you use the direct x installer thats on the boot disk)

What's the CPU & GPU (Graphics Card) you are using?

CPU and GPU have nothing to do with application crashes. The computer refuses to run the application itself. NFS Most Wanted requirements are fairly low in any case, so specs won't matter, especially if the game doesn't start. If it starts THEN encounters issues it might be a CPU/GPU problem. Not otherwise.

i actually dug my disk out and the game runs on win 7 64 without any tweeks. you still have to use the widescreen fix but thats it. by guess is either you failed to install the redistobutables or your missing something like a dotnetframework version.
look on your disk and see if you have a redist folder. install everythin in there manually.
then go to microsoft and get .netframework 3.5 then 4.
also make sure you have all the vcredist files... there are a few versions from 2005-2008 both 32 and 64 bit pluss there service pack versions. theres about 6 in all.
