Volcano 11 sucks ass!!

Or does it?? I e-mailed thermaltake and they said that the TR of the volcano 11 is 38 c/W and it seems at 4800 rpm it's 48db. I was comparing that to http://www6.tomshardware.com/cpu/20030113/cooler5-40.html
and it seems to be a pretty decent with low db hsf.

TR is the important factor right??

38C/W is not bad for an air cooled unit
check out <A HREF="http://www.overclockers.com/articles373/" target="_new">the overclocker's roundup/database</A> and you'll see that

<A HREF="http://www.hardcoreware.net/reviews/review-129-1.htm" target="_new">this review says it's not great</A> and prefers the coolermaster X-dream. the x-dream has a good showing in tom's review too, so while i don't have any experience with it and haven't ever heard of it, it might be good as well
the volcano 11 has a speed controller, but if on high the noise is too much for you, buy a heatsink and fan separately
