Everyone else's FPS is better, what's wrong with my system?

I recently purchased a GTX 670 in the hopes that it would speed up my games a bit (A lot, I hoped).

I have seen no such increase. In Sleeping Dogs, with everything maxed out except antialiasing, I get 30 FPS on average. I see benchmarks people post in forums and they get that WITH antialiasing maxed out. They usually get twice my FPS on average.

I have:
i5-2500k @ 4.8 (1.36 vcore)
8GB ram @1600
670
p8p67 motherboard (kind of old, kind of cheap)

Is there any way I can fix this problem?

What is your power supply unit?

When was the last time you reinstalled windows?

Did you connect both 6-pin power connectors from the power supply unit to the graphics card?

My PSU is a Corsair TX650W, last time I reinstalled windows was quite a while ago.

I'm sure I connected both, I kind of assumed it doesn't power on without them both in.

Have you tried easing up on your CPU OC. If you push too far, you can cause problems. The same with GPU's.

Try any other games? same issues? I have heard of issues with sleeping dogs, its a poor console port.

Worst case to a clean install of new drivers.

Might be time to reinstall windows, especially after getting a new graphics card and if it was quite a while since you did it .
