I still believe strongly in building your own. A good firewall and, believe it or not, the built-in Windows one will do. SpywareBlaster to build a list of Restricted Sites to which you can't be taken by a redirect and wouldn't want to go to anyway. An AV which could be AVG or Avast free versions if you qualify. Spybot, MalwareBytes and SuperAntiSpyware which you don't need to have on hand but know where to go to find the latest version at the first sign of a possible problem.

My main problem with the made up suites is that they tend to take over and if one aspect falls over, the whole thing becomes useless. I've lost count of the number of Norton and McAfee systems I've removed and replaced with my suggestion above with no resulting problems.[/#000ff]

The best internet security is the user not being an idiot and downloading dodgy stuff, visiting dodgy websites and clicking links in e-mails.
