DI-604 "no space to add this entry"

Does anyone know the limit of how many entries can be made to the
D-link DI-604's firewall rules table? I have 10 entries that I made
myself, and when I try to add another, it tells me "no space to add
this entry." I expected a finite number of firewall entries, but not
ten. does anyone know if this is normal?

There isn't much memory in the DI-604. It also doesn't share the
memory. I've hit the 10 limit when using its URL filtering to block
sites like ".doubleclick.com/" but cannot get too many listed. This
restriction doesn't change or restrict how many firewall rules you can
define but each list where you can add definitions is pretty small. It
was cheap but next time I'll get a better router, one that has more
memory, lets me wildcard the URL filter criteria, and uses SSL or MD5
(at least for the login) so someone can't sniff out the username and
password.

You will still need a software firewall (or better hardware firewall
downstream of the DI-604) to give you much better control in regulating
your traffic.
