what is the max cpu for my mainboard

I have a philips mainboard and not much no how of computers. it is a pretty old mainboard so i think it will be not a verry big pcu. the user manual tels me that it is an philips desktop pc e853. i hope that sommebody can tell me what the max cpu can be for this mainboard. by the way, sorry for my bad english.

i googled your mainboard and these are listed as its cpu speeds:
Processor Speed 75/90/100/120/133/150/166/200/233MHz

the supported CPUs themselves are as follows

Processor AM K5/AM K6/Pentium/Pentium MMX/P24T

i don't think it's worth upgrading, no matter what you have right now. you want to upgrade your whole system if you're going to upgrade at all.

Most systems that supported Pentium MMX processors could be abused with a K6-2/400 if you set the multiplier to 2x, bus speed to 66MHz, and the voltage to 2.8v (or less), then added an oversized cooler (because of the added voltage). 2x=6x, 6x66.6..=400.
